The original camp buildings, dating back to the mid 1930’s are built in the old Florida style of rustic cypress and are nestled among statuesque live oaks.  It was owned by the Episcopal Church and run as a summer camp.  It was sold in the early 1980’s and sat mostly dormant until recently rediscovered,  updated and restored.  Father Yates (a past summer camper) and his wife bought the camp back  and have been restoring and updating the the buildings.  Some of the cabins are still being restored.
Louttit Lodge, the most recent (built in the 60's) and very unique building  was designed by a student of Frank Lloyd Wright. It is the largest building in the camp, it features a large kitchen, and will be our dining hall for the weekend.
The historic mess hall is a large, open space lending itself to a multitude of uses. Its towering exposed ceiling beams and walls are covered with history in the form of signatures of campers dating back almost 70 years. It presently has no kitchen facilities and will serve as our collective studio space for the weekend.
Trout Lake is a crystal clear spring fed lake
tested regulary for swimming.  There are
Kayaks and paddle boats for exploring.  The fishing
is great and the white sand beach is great for bare feet!
There is also a bonfire area and tables for writing.

The Cathedral This oak covered path is the way you will walk from the camp to the lodge.  Situated just off the lake front, it is also where,  if you are lucky you will get to see the resident sand hill cranes
