The Artist’s Way

Do you find yourself not creating because you have no time, you procrastinate, or feel that you have lost your creative spirit? Whether you are young or old, a writer, a painter, a photographer, a musician or any other type of creative individual, this 13 week class will propel you to your highest creativity! The Artist’s Way classes are the precise 12 steps developed in the wildly successful book The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron and facilitated by Cheryl Jones Evans, celebrating the 11th year of Artist’s Way teaching. We will begin each class with a 20 minute creative guided meditation then each week we will take one step at a time on the path to higher spiritual creativity. We will be using the text The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron. This book can be found at most book sellers.

Art: Making a Living and a Life

Spend an energized full day workshop dedicated to the emerging and mid career artist looking to live a full creative life, while make an income, and maintain your marvelous creative soul! We will take a good hard look at the obstacles that have kept us from pursuing the creative career you were meant to have. We will redefine creative success and look at how to achieve it. And, however awkward…we will explore, explain and simplify the bookkeeping, taxes and business of the creative career. You will leave here with the confidence and the tools to move into the creative life you have always dreamed of!

Taking it to the Streets

Time: 9:00am to 5:00pm (with an hour break for lunch)

An intensive, full day, no nonsense comprehensive look at what it takes to survive and thrive on the outdoor art festival circuit. Learn how to research and select shows where you have the best opportunity to sell. We will look at art show applications and the new on line process. We will discuss the importance of your slide and the jury process that gets you into the shows. There will be information on investing in show tents and equipment that you need. How to present and display your work to sell! Moving and packing art, and a bevy of tips and tricks, that you won’t have to learn the hard way!

Jump Start Your Creativity

Time: 9:00am to 5:00pm (with an hour break for lunch)

Want to play? A full exciting day of creative, outrageous, hands on inspiration and fear chasing experimentation designed to jumpstart your creativity. We will have a peek at just what is standing between you and your amazing creativity and then discover some fun fear busting exercises that will bring out that curious daring artist lurking in all of us. You will explore a variety of unique playful artistic exercises, in groups, partnered and alone that will connect you with ways to intensify, expand and clarify our own remarkable talents and by the end of the day you will be ready to let it rip!
